Episode 5: The Reckoning

A senior prank night takes a deadly turn when Klaus comes to see what Stefan is hiding and finds out that Elena is still alive. Klaus threatens Elena by feeding Tyler his blood and kills him and tells Bonnie that if she doesn't find a way to create hybrids in twenty minutes Tyler dies. He puts a clock on it and also tells Stefan to feed on Elena so he can be forgiven by Klaus and Rebekah. Stefan tries to stop his urge of feeding on Elena but Klaus makes him turn off his emotions and feeds on her. Klaus finds out that Elena's blood is needed to create more hybrids saying that the Original Witch tried to trick him into killing the doppelganger so he couldn't create a race of hybrids. Meanwhile Katherine and Damon go on a road trip to find a way to kill Klaus. Katherine is revealed to have kidnapped Jeremy because she remembers that when she stole the necklace from Bonnie and Bonnie thought she was Elena, Bonnie had told her that Jeremy had been seeing Anna's ghost and Katherine quickly remembers that Pearl had told Katherine about Mikael, the vampire hunter who was also a vampire. Jeremy then connects to Anna by asking her if Pearl ever told her about Mikael and she tells him that he must not be awaken because he would kill them all (referring to Damon and Katherine along with all the vampires). Tyler turns out to be the first successful hybrid sired by Klaus because of Elena's blood. Matt, in an attempt to connect with Vicki commits suicide by drowning himself in the school's pool. In a vision he sees her, and she tells him she can come back to life and has a message for Bonnie when suddenly Matt comes back to life with the help of Bonnie's CPR. Elena is then in the hospital while a nurse tries to take her blood. The nurse, being compelled by Klaus takes a small amount of blood from Elena while Klaus is outside waiting to go inside the hospital to kidnap Elena but is stopped by Damon who hears the news that Klaus returned to Mystic Falls while he and Katherine were away. Damon makes Klaus flee from the hospital when Damon mentions Mikael. Damon then saves Elena and promises her that he will never leave her alone again. Moments later while Elena and Damon are talking in the Salvatore Boarding House Stefan returns. In the end of the episode Jeremy and Katherine walk up to Mikael's tomb. Katherine and Jeremy then watch as Mikael opens his eyes.

Episode 5: Kill Or Be Killed

Elena and Stefan continue their fighting facade. At the Mystic Falls picnic, Mason Lockwood tells Liz, the sheriff, that Stefan and Damon are vampires. He proves it by spiking Damon's cup of lemonade with vervain, causing him to choke after taking a sip. Next, Stefan and Damon are set up and shot by Liz and her fellow police officers. Meanwhile, Caroline listens and fills Elena in. They have a short run-in with Mason, during which Caroline fights him off easily. They get to the brothers just in time before Liz kills them; however, Caroline's identity as a vampire is exposed. Liz rejects Caroline as her daughter and Stefan drinks Elena's blood for strength. Caroline confesses to Elena that Katherine threatened to kill Matt if Caroline didn't spy on Elena and Stefan for her. Tyler almost kills a girl by accidentally pushing her down the stairs. After this incident, he gives up the moonstone to Mason. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Mason is working for Katherine (who wants the moonstone) and they are lovers.Source:Wikipedia

Episode 5: You're Undead To Me

While Damon grows weaker, Jeremy's and Vicki's relationship grows stronger. At the school organized car wash Bonnie discovers more about her powers and decides to face with them. Logan's charm leads to have dinner in the Gilberts' house which leads to his stealing the pocket watch. Elena finds out from a stranger that Stefan eerily resembles somebody named Stefan Salvatore he knew in 1953. This leads to Elena questioning who Stefan really is. Damon uses his connection with Caroline to free himself and later feeds on Vicki.Source:Wikipedia
