Episode 11: By the Light of the Moon

As the full moon approaches, Caroline helps Tyler prepare for and stays with him through his painful transformation. In the tomb, Katherine taunts Stefan over his insecurities about Elena. In response to Katherine's insistence of her love for him, Stefan asks her to prove that there is some good in her, and she grudgingly advises him to recruit Isobel, Elena's mother, to help him, Damon, and the others find Klaus. Bonnie later seeks Luca's help to destroy the moonstone; they cast a spell that appears to work, but it is revealed that Luca tricked Bonnie when he hands the moonstone, still intact, over to his father on Elijah's orders. Jules, a friend of Mason's, arrives in Mystic Falls looking for him after Tyler leaves a message on Mason's voicemail. A suspicious Damon and Alaric try to trick her into having a drink mixed with wolfsbane; she is provoked into revealing she is a werewolf, and threateningly tells Damon he has been marked. Elijah arrives at Elena's house to speak with her; he reveals that Klaus' increasing paranoia over the years has lead to his efforts to try and break the curse. Elijah, who is no longer among Klaus' inner circle, is trying to protect Elena because he doesn't want the curse broken. He offers Elena a deal: if she stays out of the business with Klaus and keeps herself safe, Elijah will make sure that her friends are not harmed. She agrees on the condition that he frees Stefan from the tomb, which he does. As Stefan exits the tomb with Elijah, Katherine begs him not to leave her there, but he walks away and is happily reunited with Elena. Damon and Rose talk at the Salvatore mansion; Jules, now transformed into a wolf, arrives and tries to attack Damon; she bites Rose's shoulder before disappearing. Though the wound appears to heal at first, at the end of the episode Rose's shoulder is clearly infected, meaning that a werewolf bite is fatal to a vampire.Source:Wikipedia

Episode 11: Bloodlines

Damon's arrival causes the mysterious stranger to flee, and Damon frees Elena from her overturned car. Damon brings Elena with him to Georgia to see Bree, a witch and an old flame of Damon's, hoping she can help open the tomb to free Katherine. Bree calls Lee, Lexi's boyfriend (as Lexi was her friend), who wants revenge on Damon. Elena saves Damon, and he kills Bree after she tells him to find Emily's spellbook. Stefan opens up to Bonnie's grandma in an attempt to help Bonnie come to terms with her new power. Jeremy meets Anna, who knows the true past of Mystic Falls. When Elena and Damon return, Stefan reveals that he saved Elena from the crash that killed her parents. Stefan also tells Elena that her parents adopted her, but knows nothing more about her parentage. He claims his love to Elena and she forgives him. Alaric sits at the Mystic Grill bar and recognizes Damon as the vampire who killed his wife.Source:Wikipedia
